Which Browser to Use
TradeSignals.com charting software requires Java enabled browsers. We strongly recommend you use version 4 or higher of Microsoft Internet Explorer.

If your browser is an earlier version then you should download a more up to date version.

Ensuring the Launch Chart Button Appears
For TradeSignals.com Launch Chart button to download you need to be sure that you have Java enabled on your browser. Here is how to do this:

In Internet Explorer:
1. Go to the Tools Menu (Version 5) or go to the View Menu (Version 4).
2. Click on Internet Options and select the Advanced tab.
3. Go to the Java VM sub section (near the end of the page).
4. There are 3 check boxes here and ensure that the box marked Java JIT Compiler Enabled is checked.
5. Then click OK.

You will then need to Close your browser and reopen it again. Go directly back to any of the launch chart pages and the button should appear. You can now use TradeSignals.com charting software.

In Netscape Navigator:
1. Go to the Edit Menu and select Preferences.
2. When the Preferences dialog box opens go to the Advanced Section in the Left panel (this is near the bottom).
3. In this section there is a check box labelled Enable Java. Check this box and click OK.
4. You will then need to close your browser and open it again. Go directly back to any of the launch chart pages and the button should appear. You can now use TradeSignals.com charting software.

Ensuring you can view all the Chart Data
If you experience problems accessing up to date TradeSignals.com charts it is most likely due to your Browser's cache or memory. You will need to clear your cache to view the current charts.

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer:
1. Open the View menu and choose Internet Options.
2. Click the General Tab.
3. Click on the Delete Files button in the Temporary Files section of the tab.
4. This will give you a information dialog box with the caption "Delete files" which reads as follows
"Delete all files in the temporary Internet folder?"
"You can also delete all your subscription contents stored locally"
There is also a check box with the text "Delete all subscription contents." You do not need to check this check box.
5. Click OK and Click OK again.

And, if you are using a Netscape browser here's what to do:
1. Open the Edit menu and choose Preferences.
2. Click the Advanced Category and select Cache.
3. Click the Clear Disk Cache button and the Clear Memory Cache button.
4. Click OK.

This will clear your browser's cache and TradeSignals.com Charting software will load with all new data.

Current Contracts traded by the TradeSignals.com systems
To check the current contracts being charted and traded simply look at the top right hand side of the Java charts. This will display the Current Contract being traded in the following from:

Contract Symbol, Year, Contract Month

For example, the Contract Month might read CZ 2001,
which would be the December CBOT Corn for the 2001 i.e. CZ1.

Signals and Analysis
The Java charts employ standard visual signals for the current day's analysis and bias:
· Price bar changes from White to Blue for a Bullish Condition
· Price bar remains Blue while the Bullish condition remains valid
· Price bar changes from White to Red for a bearish condition
· Price bar remains Red while the bearish condition is still valid
· When a market is neutral or is changing from a Bullish or Bearish to neutral the price bar is White

Accessing Chart Data
To view a contract in a different time period just follow these 3 simple steps once the charting software has loaded:

(1) Enter your contract symbol (e.g. CZ1) into the symbol entry box (located in the top left hand corner).

(2) Click the Submit button. This will load the daily chart for this contract.

(3) To change the time period, click on the Period menu option and choose your desired time interval (1, 5, 15 or 30 minutes).

Or choose a market from one of Trade Management Centre that will contain a market bias.

The chart will now load in the time period required.

Chart Menus
There are several menus in the charting software. Each menu's purpose and functions are detailed below.


File

Close: Shuts down the chart.

Print MSIE: Prints chart in Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Print Netscape: Prints chart in Netscape.

Refresh: Clears any indicators and trendlines draw from the window.

Reload/Update: Updates the chart with the latest intra day data.

In addition, any markets that you have downloaded data for in your current session remains in your browser's memory will be listed here. Just click on it to view the chart again.

Price

Bar: Displays the price action in High (H), Low (L), Open (O) and Close (C) bars.

Candles: Displays the price action in candles sticks.

Close Line: Displays the price action as a line passing through the close of each bar.

Log Scale: Displays the price action to a logarithmic scale.

Invert Price: Inverts the price action display.

Quotes: Clicking on the button brings up our live Quote Box. Key in the contract symbol and click Submit.

Spreads: Allows you to compare two contract symbols in a spread. Key in the symbols of the contracts you wish to Spread and Click Apply. The Spread will then download.

How to Select Indicators
The main section features the price bar. To view the price bar overlaid with Simple Moving Average, Exponential Moving Average, Bollinger Bands, Pivot and Parabolic SAR: just click on the Indicator menu and select one of these five indicators.

The end two "windows" allow you to apply many different Indicators. The default setting shows Volume and the RSI. You can apply new Indicators in these sections easily as follows:

1. Click on the window you wish to apply the indicator (i.e. click on the window showing Volume or RSI).

2. Click on the Indicator pull down menu.
3. Select the Indicator you wish to view (e.g. ADX).
4. The section will then change to the Indicator you selected.

Period
This enables you to access intra day data on a 1, 5, 15, 30, 60 min and Daily bar basis.

Settings

Updating: Updates the charts with the latest intraday data.

Colors:
You can customize the chart background, chart foreground, Moving Average, Simple Moving Average, Grid, Volume line, Trend line, Frame and Price line. When you click Color from the settings menu the Edit Color dialog box opens. Select what line or area of the chart you wish to customize on the left and your desired color on the right and just click Apply. Your need to do this each time you open the charting software.

Indicator Parameters:
You may change the parameters of all indicator studies in the software. Double clicking on the parameter you wish to change will pull up the appropriate parameters which you can change. Key in your changes and click Apply.

Data Series:
Accessing historical trade entries and exits in our charts is fast and simple. The charts load with 2 years of price data. To access more historical data within the charts do the following:
1. Go to Settings Menu.
2. Select Data Series.
3. Select the time period you require (Five Years, Ten Years or All Data).
4. Click OK and the extended data period will download into the charts.

Cursor Mode:
The default mode is the Price Line. This allows you to select a price bar. The associated prices are then displayed in the top left of the chart area.
The Pointer mode allows you to click on toolbar buttons. To enlarge the chart into a full screen and remove the bottom indicator windows from view, click the Pointer Button and double click on the Chart. Double click again and it will restore the bottom Indicator windows.

Draw

You can draw quickly and easily with the interactive drawing functionality:

Trend Line allows you to draw a trend line.
1. Click on the Draw Menu.
2. Select Trendline.
3. Click and drag your mouse to the area of the chart where you wish to draw.
4. The Trendline will appear in Red.
5. After drawing the line, you may edit it by clicking on it and dragging its handles.

Fibonacci Price / Fibonacci Time allows you to draw a Fibonacci Cycle.
1. Click on the Draw Menu.
2. Select Fibonacci or Fibonacci Time.
3. Click on the area of the chart where you wish to view the lines.
4. The lines will appear in Red and Yellow.
5. It is commonly believed that important price movements take place close to each line.

Gann Fan Up / Gann Fan Down allows you to draw a Gann Fan.
1. Click on the Draw Menu.
2. Select Gann Up or Gann Down.
3. Click on the area of the chart where you wish to view the lines.
4. The Fan will appear in Red.
5. The angled lines are used as indicators of strength of trend. When a trend in unable to hold a 45 degree line, the trend is often thought to be over. Similar indications may be based on the higher and lower angles.

You can also move the lines you have drawn to any area of the chart you wish. Just make sure the Pointer button has been clicked. You can draw as many lines on the charts as you like! To clear the charts of any trendlines or analysis just click the Refresh button.

Toolbar

Symbol & Submit:
This is where you enter the symbol of the contract you wish to chart and click Submit.

Zoom In:
Increases the distance between the bars so you can see individual bars more clearly.

Zoom Out:
Decreases the distance between the bars so you can see more bars in the charting area.

Pointer:
This mode allows you to click on toolbar buttons. As above.

Price Line:
This mode allows you to select a price bar. The associated prices are then displayed in the top left of the chart area.

Refresh:
Clears the charts of any trendlines, gann fans or overlays you may have drawn in the session.

Quote:
Clicking on the button brings up our live Quote Box. Key in the contract symbol and click Submit.

Forward/Back:
These arrows allow you to scan forward and back through the current data series.
